It is not in my nature to ask for help. I help.
It is not in my nature to ask for money. I give.

But I am asking for your help.
So I can give even more.

Die Abenteuer von Tim und Struppi.
The adventures of TinTin and Snowy.
Die aventures af Kuifie en Spokie.
So many stories in so many different countries. So many tales in so many different languages.
The adventures of ‘Tin Tin’ and his scruffy little white dog ‘Snowy’ have fascinated me from a young age.
Their journeys through unknown terrain on some rumors stories. Chasing mystery and making history, back in 1932.

All around the world. Always getting into trouble. Always getting out of trouble, with a little help from his friends.

And Captain Haddock, of course. Ay captain.
I collected the compilation of all adventures and read them over and over again. What a life.

Thinking about it now, subconsciously, Kuifie and Spokie have been an inspiration from a young age and played a big part in my nomadic life.
Nowadays, there are many similarities between Kuifie and travelswithben.

Friends in the past have named me TinTin or Kuifie on various occasions.
Maybe it was similarities in looks.

Or maybe we share the same ‘happy-go-lucky’ attitude.
It’s probably just the hair.

Kuifie has been all around the world and even explored the Congo, but he never investigated Southern Africa.

That’s what I am going to do, including the hair-doo.
Unfortunately, I can’t travel with a dog.

But have no fear, my loyal companion on this journey is just as charismatic and has plenty of character.

He is black and white and is called Zimba.
Zimba, the Zebra-wagon is hypnotizing to humans and animals.

People smile and greet Zimba on their streets.

Animals may think it’s a Trojan Horse.

Captain, my Captain Haddock is my friend Pieter, who gave Zimba and myself the best start possible.
He will be following every step I take from his home in Ingogo. Like he did 6 years ago.
This expedition will be just the same. Almost the same.

This time I want to make a difference. As small as it might be, it will put a smile on someone’s dial.

The last time I traveled throughout Africa, I came across a lot of poverty and devastation. That hasn’t changed.

Malawi, Africa
It is sad to see the way we are going.
Many people have no other choice, they need firewood and food on their plates.

Governments aren’t helping. Instead encouraging people to breed like rabbits so they can collect government funds. Corruption, greed, and the need for power have been the human way of distraction and destruction throughout its history. Natural habitats are destroyed, and wildlife is almost extinct.

The world is in dire straits.
Africa is in dire straits.

I want to help those in need if I can, when I can. And I am asking for your help.
ONLY if you can.
A few dollars here or there will add up nicely.

And if you can’t, that’s fine too.
‘Kuifie in Africa’ will donate money or food to random locations, whenever he thinks it is needed.

Particularly in wildlife sanctuaries.

Or for cultural minorities which are now governed by law and society.
There is no particular plan or route and I won’t join any charities.

All money donated will directly go to those in need, that’s guaranteed.
Thank you kindly.
