My feathered friends have good reasons to be chirpy.

They wait patiently, or not, for breakfast. Or afternoon tea. Dinner in the diner perhaps?

In fact, an all-day buffet is set out in the garden behind. The idea started with a few fruits stuck on branches in the garden trees.

The concept was well received, as the garden was overwhelmed with squabbles and inundated plumages.

Thinking outside the box, I designed a parkour with several feeding stations.

I incorporated branches and sticks as a landing platform, so that they can move from one to another.

My selection was based on those timbers with ‘character’. Silhouette and patterns on the stick. Twisting and turning.

Some twigs had ‘grandfather’s beard’ dangling, which is rather fragile and used for decorations.

Collateral damage stated as Inertia of incoming objects was often moving and heartbreaking.

As natural as possible, that is my aim. There is plenty around.

The high grass adds vertical characteristics.

A green composite to feathered patterns.

My favourite natural symbol is this tree stump in the middle of the paddock. Its whole appearance adds a countrified impression, all by itself. A rustic bark leaves room for an imaginary backdrop.

As the shiny stump reflects the early morning sun rays.

A stump that suits monochrome photography perfectly.

However, I incorporated flowers, half-shelled coconuts and pinecones and many other entities to the overall picture.

Pinecones are a clever option to fill blueberries or small grapes.

A loaded fruit Granada Ready to go off.

All these objects can be mixed and matched as I please, based on how the day passes and the sun changes its angle of rays.

Their location is based on several factors, for photography purposes as expected.

This way I could direct and redirect my models on the basic rules of photography and hope to get a few lucky shots.

Light; is THE important factor for photography.

Where does the sun shine on, where are the shadows?

Angle; which angle do I want to capture the model? Depending on the light display.

Foreground; how could I frame the object?

Background; what would make the object stand out?

Or; compliment the object best?

What do you think?
