The title to this post emerged on a chilly night in northern New South Wales. Two good friends joined me around an open fire after my drone descended safely within gumtrees. Wow, what a thrill. ‘I wish I could draw comics from the footage of the drone.’ Megs said. ‘Imagine the reaction people have, hearing a drone flying above their property. A monthly copy of the Northern New South Wales Dronicles can be obtained at the Nimbin Health Club. Too funny. Nice one, mate.

Over the past few months, I have been keeping even busier, believe it or not. Thanks to my new camera assistant ‘Maverick’. He’s got some real skill. Sure, there were a few anxious moments. But he prevailed in style, knock on wood. Not with the drone.

Anxiety still exists though, once the rotors start spinning. But it’s an anxiety of a different kind. It changed to excitement.

What is my target? Where is the sun in relation to the target?

What maximum or minimum height will I get up to? How many different angles will I be able to capture. Will I start with stills?

Panoramic maybe? Or is a self guided video the better option? It’s a stressful time, let me tell you. I have only 35 minutes before my battery runs low. The combo version of this aircraft includes an extra two batteries and multiple spare parts. Let’s giddy up again.

For me as an avid photographer, I am still coming to terms on how incredibly accurate and sharp the footage actually is.

You would be kidding yourself, if you don’t think the photos add perfectly on cushions.

Or canvas.

Of all sizes, including split canvas and a hexagon options.

Printed on metal, paper, wood or even blankets.

Mugs, calendars, puzzles, mousepads, shower curtains, wall art, you name it. The options a are endless with nowadays technology, it’s mind blowing. Perfect gifts for birthdays, or just to say ‘thank you’. However, there’s a another option. You can add your own creative flair with these photos. Some are uploaded onto my picfair account. Many more will follow. It’s easy to do.

Log onto the picfair website and search my name. These photos can be individually bought and can be used for any project you have going at the time. This print can only be used once, or purchased again. A different angle maybe? They make perfect gift for anyone that appreciates nature and photography.

I would have my house covered. The only thing is, that my house lacks on space inside. But even people that don’t enjoy photography would have another look at these, confidently speaking.

On that very same tune, do yourself a favour and share these photos and post with your family and friends. And ask them to share just as well.

Por favor, this favour would be a fantastic favour for me. I truly think that this drone will have the edge to my photographic career. That’s right, imagine that. No more sweating behind the oven.

Or freezing rolling croissants.

Olive and rosemary ciabatta, the most basic ingredients added and mixed.

But I really do enjoy working in bakeries still.

Adding this drone to my ultimate outdoor collection is just the cream in an iceberg. Most of my toys combine well and can be varied at any time.

It’s an amazing world out there, you have no idea. Probably too busy, huh?

But that’s how I bring the world to you. Dave Graham of Depeche Mode’ did that musically in the ‘90 ies. The world in my eyes.
‘Let me take you on a trip,
Around the world and back.
And all you have to do is sit still.’

I do that visually. We all know in what state our planet is in. Enjoy it while we can.

With more travelling comes the option to visit your area. Anyone has a favourite spot they would like to capture in perfect height. Or explored on my Olympus. Backpacked on my kayak. Mountain bike? Hiking?

Camping in remote places, exploring the surroundings. My happiest spot.
