Hasn’t dating changed from my days. There’s a new annoying sound to it.

I arrived after dark to a nature reserve and picked a quite spot to camp. My favorite hangout here had already been taken. Bummer. So I picked another place. It’s kinda like one of those areas where one doesn’t go alone.

Not when you’re young. Full of testosterone. Bought his first car from the apprenticeship money kinda place.
I didn’t notice the small and black whatever make and model parked not far from me on the grass right by the river. Holy guacamole I thought when the engine suddenly turned. Is that you Kit? It wasn’t, he didn’t reply. Alright then, nighty night.

I gazed at the stars and was just about to fall asleep, when I heard that dreadful noise.
I know right. It was terrible. It was awful.

It wasn’t the sound of her telling him what a Superman he is.

Nor him trying to focus on the job. Not even close.
The engine was turned on again. He must have trouble keeping her warm it must be.

A little more action and little less conversation, Elvis.
Fair enough, the temperature dropped after a rainy day and it was a tad chilly.

But, and here’s the thing! It’s one of the newer cars. A car, that has that turn-off-engine-whilst-standing function. Which I don’t understand if it is worth it or how it works exactly. So, guess what. That’s right… yep, the engine turned off and was restarted again shortly after. And again, and again.
At first, I couldn’t actually understand what I am witnessing here. That’s a new one. It’s insane. Having you car running to warm up, we all done that. But having to switch the key every time? My mistake, they have buttons nowadays.
It was annoying but I couldn’t stop wondering about either. Is this just a waste of time? Gas? Electricity! Who would do that 22 whatever times?
Well, I wouldn’t because one thing will happen for sure.
Have another guess! It was quiet though. Finally.

I grabbed my iPad and started writing.

In saying all that, they could have just been besties who needed some place to share their social media stories. A kilo for a gram. Or via messenger of course. Isn’t that a story on its own?

Anyhoe, some things really have changed.
I noticed a change in myself and within friends.
Our planet has changed.

I find it hard to understand why and how the way this world is going.

So, this story goes out to all my friends and family, sending much compassion and sympathy.
I hope everyone is doing well and is staying positive. We need to.
There hasn’t been much communication with many, it’s just a vibe.
I haven’t been socially active much either as I am getting tired of the matrix.
And here I am sending this story via social media.
Awkward.

‘Hello! Is it me you’re looking for?’
